Product Development Unit (PDU) IP Systems is responsible for driving cutting edge IP technologies to meet the demands of operators to build state of the art broadband networks that can deliver triple play services like: IPTV, Video on Demand, Video Conferencing, Virtual Private Networks, Broadband Aggregation, Wi-Fi solutions, Multimedia Networks, and Edge Routing. PDU IP develops HW platforms, L2/L3 functionality and ASIC's to meet the technology needs of the operator community. PDU IP has products deployed globally based on the SE400, SE 800, SE 1200 technologies. PDU IP is working on developing the next generation platform and technology including ASIC's to meet the requirements of the 4th generation IP networks.
We are looking for a dynamic, highly results-oriented senior manager who can build and lead an effective and efficient international organization. The I&V Platform Test Manager, is a line role, reports directly to the Head of I&V, and is responsible for platform testing, and performance testing for the SmartEdge and the next generation Smart Services router platform. As a line manager, staff for success, and continuously build key competence in multiple development sites.
The successful candidate will have managed I&V engineering teams who have tested large scale IP software solutions. The candidate will possess solid managerial experience with a dedication to building high performance engineering teams. He/She will also foster a culture of collaboration, initiative, innovation, and business results.
Responsibilities:
§ Understand the deliverables in all I&V areas
§ Build high-performance teams that span multiple geographical sites, responsible for Platform test, platform dependent protocol (BRAS, Edge Routing, L4L7) tests, control & data path tests
§ Node level function, performance and scale testing in new feature releases, maintenance of released products & Automation.
§ Work closely with other I&V teams, SW Development, HW Development, Product Mgt, Project Management, and OS application teams to ensure roles/responsibilities are understood and agreed upon per project
§ Introduce innovative testing and cost-effective methodologies to optimize investment in machine resources as well as improving overall customer satisfaction
Job Description
As a manager you will be responsible for all Platform I&V activities. You will be part of the management team and responsible for all internal and external contacts in the I&V area. Securing efficient test analysis, test preparation/planning, test execution, test reporting and test environment including tools. Lead a management team within Platform test, and have the responsibility to coach, mentor and lead the team and work together to achieve the common goals.
As senior manager of this team:
